Built in 1838 the Old Gothic Church stands in the sleepy village of East Horrington, 2 miles from Wells, Britain’s smallest city (it has a Cathedral, therefore it’s a city!) offering good shopping facilities as well as restaurants and pubs, a cinema, churches of most denominations, together with open-air markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Wells is beginning to make a name for itself as a film location, the most recent productions which have been filmed here are "The Libertine" starring Johnny Depp, the hit movie Hot Fuzz and the second film about Queen Elizabeth 1st called "The Golden Age" starring Cate Blanchett. The Gothic Church is a fine example of early Victorian sacred architecture and has been recently renovated to the highest of modern standards. It is now a unique and fun party venue for private celebrations offering sumptuous living spaces and chambers with luxurious interiors.

Entering via the immense vaulted atrium you’ll find two downstairs bedchambers, two bathrooms and a fully-equipped 44ft kitchen/breakfast room stocked with delicious treats, hot and soft drinks for your enjoyment. There is also the optional use of a treatment room for spa/pamper sessions.

Ascending the open-plan double staircase you will find on one side of the atrium the stunning banqueting gallery with its three spectacular original stained glass windows. On the other side are three further bedchambers, another bathroom and the spacious Chancel living room and games area with its central glass wood-burning stove and impressive Gothic windows.

Outside is a charming private courtyard garden complete with hot tub, a rock pond with soothing water feature, BBQ and seating area. There is off-road parking for 3-4 cars with additional parking available further down the lane.
